Bookends clamp onto a KittaParts dowel wherever you need to support a stack of something. We designed them for records, after the vinyl nerds among you pointed out that two vertical dowels aren't much of a surface to lean a record against. They've since become our most popular KittaParts accessory.
Two halves of a clamp go around the dowel and the bookend bolt secures them in place. Adjustable, and easy to move somewhere else later. The KittaParts wrench that came with your order is all you need to fit one.

Take the two halves of the clamp and close them around the dowel, wherever you want the bookend to sit, so the holes line up ready for the bolt.

Thread the bookend bolt in by hand, then use the handle end of the KittaParts wrench to drive it home.
Just tight enough to hold the clamp in place. Don't over-tighten it.

That's it. Stack your books or records against it.
