These terms form part of any contract of sale between Like Butter Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "Like Butter") and you ("the customer", "the client"). By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
If you return goods within 30 days of purchase, with your Like Butter invoice or order confirmation, and the goods are clean, unassembled, and unused, we'll give you a full refund.
If the item has been assembled or requires cleaning, and you have your invoice, we'll issue a store credit less a cleaning fee. The cleaning fee is determined by Like Butter on visual inspection of the returned item.
We cannot accept returns on:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms limits or overrides your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
All Like Butter products are covered by our Lifetime Warranty, the full terms of which are available at likebutter.com.au/pages/lifetime-warranty. The Lifetime Warranty forms part of these terms of trade.
Like Butter gift cards are redeemable for any products on our website. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law:

If you need to cancel a custom order after it has been placed, you must email cuts@likebutter.com.au and receive our written confirmation of the cancellation. You will be liable for all design, materials, and labour costs incurred up to the point of cancellation, plus an administration fee of 20% of the total order value.
If you need to cancel a standard product order after it has been placed, you must email cuts@likebutter.com.au and receive our written confirmation. You will be liable for an administration fee of 20% of the order value.
When using our online configuration tools (including the KittaParts Builder), you are responsible for reviewing your configuration before placing an order. We manufacture what you design within the tool's constraints. If you have questions about your configuration before ordering, contact us at cuts@likebutter.com.au.
Configuration tools provide indicative pricing and visual representations. Final pricing is confirmed at checkout. Colours and materials shown on screen are indicative only and may vary from the physical product.
We take pride in meeting our estimated lead times and providing realistic deadlines.
If production is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to supply chain delays, equipment malfunction, or material shortages), you remain liable for all amounts due under the contract upon eventual delivery, to the extent allowed by applicable law.
We will notify you of any significant delays and provide an updated timeline. We ask that you allow reasonable additional time for unforeseen circumstances.
Unless agreed in writing before production commences:
Custom orders: payment by direct deposit into Like Butter's bank account.
Web orders: payment via our website at checkout.
These terms of trade apply to all sales by Like Butter, including sales to builders, contractors, and commercial buyers. If you issue a purchase order, subcontract, or any other document that contains terms different from or additional to these terms, those terms are rejected unless we have agreed to them in writing signed by a director of Like Butter Pty Ltd.
Title to the goods passes to you on full payment. Risk passes to you on delivery or collection, whichever occurs first. If goods are left on your site or under your control before full payment, risk transfers to you from the point of delivery but title remains with Like Butter until payment is received in full.
Invoices not paid by the due date will incur interest at the rate of 2% per month (or part thereof) on the outstanding balance. Like Butter reserves the right to suspend or cancel any order where payment is overdue, and to recover reasonable costs of debt collection including legal fees.
All delivery and installation fees are estimates based on information you provide. Additional charges may apply if site access differs from what was advised, or if the scope of work changes.
If we are undertaking on-site assembly or installation:
If we cannot obtain access or the area is not clear at the agreed time, a redelivery fee will apply.
We recommend having an appropriately qualified tradesperson fix wall-mounted products (including but not limited to KittaParts, The Shelves, Clip Open Stacks, and Clip Crates) to a wall using suitable fixings to prevent them from tipping over. Like Butter does not accept liability for damage or injury resulting from improper wall fixing.
Storage fees apply to goods left in our possession for more than two (2) weeks after completion. After two weeks, storage is charged at $33 per cubic metre per week.
Any changes you request, or previously unknown factors beyond our control, may incur additional costs calculated at our standard hourly rate.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Like Butter's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our products or services is limited to the price you paid for the goods or services in question.
Neither Like Butter, its employees, subcontractors, nor associates shall be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the design, manufacture, distribution, or use of our products, delays in order completion, or any other failure of performance.
Nothing in this clause excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you supply a design or concept (in part or in full), you warrant that it is your original work or that you have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe the intellectual property rights or moral rights of any third party. You indemnify Like Butter against any claims arising from your supplied designs.
This contract is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Victoria.
By accessing or using likebutter.com.au (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
