KittaParts is a truly modular shelving system. This threaded timber shelving system is completely modular, adaptable and reconfigurable. Depending on the set you choose, KittaParts ships with up to four sizes of threaded timber dowels and three shelf sizes, allowing you to quickly build numerous configurations and play with what works best for your space and the objects you wish to display.

1. The system. Shelves come in four sizes (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large). Dowels come in four heights. They thread together to form any configuration you want. Add closed storage with doors and drawers. Pull it apart and reconfigure it whenever you like.
2. It grows with you. How you use your space changes. Life changes. You might reconfigure a hallway unit into a bookshelf in the living room. Leftover parts become a shelf in the kids' bedroom. Buy new parts down the track and they slot straight into the modular system. We are obsessed with constant improvement, but we strive to keep every component backwards compatible. You can order spare parts whenever you need them.
3. The maths of modularity. A small and a medium equals a large. The system always balances out and you get consistent shelf heights.
4. Custom is built in. If the shelf spacing is not quite right for your things, just let us know. We are regularly customising sets for customers: adjusting depth, custom shelf spacing, tweaking until it works for you and whatever you need to put on a shelf.

Yes. We make heavy-duty wall mounting brackets that can be integrated into any kit on request. At the end of the day, safety comes down to the fixing between the bracket and the wall. We are happy to advise on the number of brackets needed for a safe, secure setup.
Yes, absolutely. If you are expanding your set, tell us what you have (photos or a list), or build what you already own in the KittaParts Builder and add to the configuration to work out what extra parts you need for a new shape.
Plywood sheets are 2,400mm long. On longer custom shelves we plan a joint at a sensible break in the module grid. There is no length limit.

Standard is 390mm. We build 590mm for extra storage, hi-fi, 19-inch rack equipment, and desk configurations. Configure the closest layout in the Builder and Jem will quote the depth change.
KittaParts is inherently stable at the standard 390mm depth. Wall mounting safety brackets are shipped with every kit for peace of mind and safety.
Hoop Pine is lighter in tone, warm, works in most residential settings.
Blackbutt is harder, stands up to knocks. Good for desks and high-traffic areas.
Tint options: White and Black on plywood.
