We were thrilled to be part of the 2022 Melbourne Design Week (MDW) in March. MDW celebrates design across a program of talks, tours, exhibitions, launches, installations and workshops. The program champions design with a focus on experimentation, innovation and ideas that enrich the world.

We were excited to present a newly developed product, KittaColin, for an exhibition in Richmond presented by Never Too Small – A Chair for Colin: Big Ideas for Small Footprint Furniture. Posing questions like – Is it possible to make designer furniture more democratic while still prioritising sustainability and longevity? Could it be that the answer is a simple but expertly designed template that people could use to craft their own piece of made-to-last designer furniture? – resulted in an array of wonderful new designs suitable for small footprint living.

Inspired by the classic laminate hallway telephone tables of the 1950s, KittaColin seeks to reinterpret and reinvent this familiar concept, with a flatpack, tool-free, modular design and contemporary aesthetic. We’ll have a lot more to say about this design in coming weeks. There are some more exciting developments going on with our Kitta range to bring you.
